Project Engineer Opportunity

Bennett and Game Recruitment is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our team in Bedford, UK. As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Senior Project Manager and project team in the successful execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site surveys and investigations to identify project requirements.
  • Coordinate and review survey reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Attend HAZOP, ALM, HAZCON, and HAZCOM meetings to provide technical support.
  • Visit project sites to assess requirements and provide recommendations.
  • Assist the Project Manager in setting up and enabling project sites, including water and electric connections.

You will also be responsible for assisting in the preparation of Health and Safety documentation, including Construction Phase Plans, Traffic Management Plans, and Site H&S files. Additionally, you will maintain and update project records, support the Project Manager in creating Impact Plans, and assist with the snagging process.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a mechanical engineering or workshop environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a strategic approach to managing national and local suppliers.
  • Responsible for purchasing within agreed limits as directed by Project Managers and the Senior Management Team.
