Senior Staff Nurse - Specialist SACT Oncology and Haematology Role

Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our team as a Specialist SACT Oncology and Haematology Nurse. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, delivering high-quality care to patients with various haematological cancers and solid tumours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead by example and embody the values of Nuffield Health
  • Utilize clinical expertise and empathy to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Enjoy autonomy in making decisions to ensure exceptional patient care
  • Deliver holistic care to patients, including administering systemic anti-cancer therapy and supportive treatments
  • Assist with Holistic Needs Assessments and UKONS triage and assessments
  • Provide care for acute oncological and haematological emergencies
  • Interact with practitioners from other departments and educate patients in the management of their care
  • Assist with outpatient consultant clinics, offering opportunities for skill development and knowledge growth in cancer care
Requirements:
  • NMC registration and a qualified nurse
  • UKONS SACT passport (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 6 months SACT administration experience
  • Proficiency in phlebotomy, cannulation, and accessing Central Venous Access Devices
  • Competence in UKONS triage
Desirable but Not Essential:
  • Qualification in SACT
  • Advanced communication training
