About the Role:We are seeking an exceptional Special Education Support Professional to join our team at a Primary School in Plymouth. As a key member of the support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the access to learning and well-being of pupils with diverse needs.
You will work closely with teaching staff, Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs), and medical staff to provide holistic support to pupils, including educational and care programs, as well as some medical support tasks.
- Educational Support: Provide specialist support for pupils with additional needs, assisting teachers with classroom management, record-keeping, and planning tailored learning activities.
- Health and Medical Support: Participate in training to develop medical competencies under the direction of nursing staff, assist with pupil first-aid, health care plans, and routine medical support.
- Care Responsibilities: Assist with Personal Care and Risk Assessments, promote positive pupil behavior, support intimate care duties, and ensure pupil safety during all learning activities.
