About the Job
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to students with diverse needs. Your primary responsibility will be to create a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic growth and social development.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct support to students with SEN in a classroom setting
• Assist teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and implementation
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and school staff
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and ideas
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements
• Relevant qualifications and experience working with students with SEN
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Patience, understanding, and empathy when interacting with students
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational software
