Job Title: Part-time Cook for All Souls Serve The City

We are seeking a part-time cook to join our team at All Souls Serve The City, a charitable incorporated organisation based at All Souls Church. As a cook, you will play a vital role in preparing meals for our Senior Care ministry, which aims to address loneliness among seniors in our community.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for our Wednesday lunch club, which provides a welcoming environment for seniors to come together and share a meal. You will also be responsible for maintaining kitchen hygiene and ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook meals for the Wednesday lunch club
  • Maintain kitchen hygiene and complete necessary documentation
  • Assist with serving meals to seniors on Wednesday
  • Manage food storage and supplies in the kitchen and pantry
  • Engage with seniors during the lunch club and build relationships
Personal Qualities
  • A Christian committed to the evangelical stance and mission of ASSTC and All Souls Church
  • Having a servant heart and seeking to live a life of Christian integrity
  • Self-confident, self-motivated, and resourceful
  • Personable and able to engage well with people, especially seniors
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in cooking for seniors (60+)
  • Demonstrated experience cooking in an industrial kitchen
  • Trained and certified in relevant hygiene training
What We Offer

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £15.68, plus pension and NI contributions. You will also have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and make a real difference in the lives of seniors in our community.
