We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Coordinator to join our team at The Pirbright Institute. As an Inventory Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspect and receive all incoming goods, verifying quantities and conditions.
- Unpack and store deliveries in designated areas, maintaining a high level of stock accuracy.
- Process internal inventory requests, picking and distributing items as needed.
- Conduct regular stock checks, investigating discrepancies and initiating corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of inventory types and locations across multiple stores.
- Raise purchase orders to re-stock and maintain inventory levels.
- Support the Stores Manager in delivering a first-class customer-focused service to internal and external customers.
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Relevant work experience in a similar stores, inventory, or customer service-based role.
- Excellent numerical, oral, and written communication skills.
- Computer literate, including the use of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience of working in a high-pressure environment.
- Organized, timely, and able to manage competing priorities.
- Able to work autonomously and in a team.
- Full driving licence.
