We are currently seeking a skilled Logistics Assistant Team Leader to join our Warehouse team in Tolworth, near Chessington. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career with a truly special company.



Job Summary:

The Logistics Assistant Team Leader will be responsible for managing and coordinating the Drivers and schedules for the delivery of all OB products from the warehouse to our stores. You will support the Logistics Team Leader with day-to-day tasks, motivate and inspire the Driving team to provide a smooth delivery service for our customers, and work collaboratively to achieve this goal.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Complete all store and customer deliveries within allocated timeframes
  • Remove empty crates and return all returned stock to the warehouse
  • Deliver for other departments in the business for photo shoots and business events when needed
  • Communicate problems and delays to all relevant departments and customers effectively
  • Organise the delivery schedules for all OB stores, the Website, and our customer home deliveries
  • Liaise with third-party transport providers to assist with out-of-London store deliveries and PR events
  • Review and continuously improve the delivery schedules, ensuring efficiency and accommodating seasonal changes
  • Ensure that incident and accident forms are completed when necessary and sent to the Health and Safety team
  • Assist with the recruitment and onboarding of new Team Members
  • Address and resolve any performance, attendance, and punctuality issues within your team addressing these issues accordingly
  • Plan staff rosters, authorizing holiday leave while ensuring the team can manage expected forecast volume
  • Oversee all vehicle servicing, MOT, and regular safety checks
  • Maintain all vehicle documentation for inspection
  • Liaise with the Facilities team to ensure all drivers' licenses are up to date
  • Ensure that all drivers carry out daily vehicle checks
  • Ensure fleet is always legally compliant
  • Positively create an inclusive environment for your team to thrive

Requirements:

We are looking for a strong Logistics Assistant Team Leader with excellent organisational and planning skills, effective communication, approachability, adaptability, patience, calmness, and the ability to work under pressure. You should be a team player with a patient and calm nature.


The successful candidate will have the ability to perform repetitive tasks daily while maintaining a high standard and possess strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.



Salary:

£25,000 - £30,000 per annum
