Childcare Lawyer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Childcare Lawyer to join our team at Plymouth City Council. As a key member of our Children's team, you will provide expert legal support and advice to client services on complex child protection matters.


About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly respected team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality legal services. You will have the chance to work on a hybrid basis, with some advocacy and court hearings, and will be considered for fully remote working within the UK.


Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver expert legal support and advice to client services on complex child protection matters
  • Conduct some advocacy and attend court hearings
  • Work on a hybrid basis, with some remote working considered
  • Build excellent relationships within the team and client departments
  • Work independently and as part of a team

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:


  • Relevant advocacy experience in the Family Courts
  • A practicing certificate or Chartered Legal Executive qualification
  • Excellent communication and drafting skills
  • A flexible and positive approach under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
