Join Our Children's Team

We are seeking an experienced Lawyer to join our highly respected Children's team at Plymouth City Council. As a key member of our Legal team, you will provide expert legal support and advice to client services on complex child protection matters.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Solicitor or Barrister with a practicing certificate or a Chartered Legal Executive with experience in public law childcare work. You will be responsible for delivering expert legal advice and support to client services, conducting advocacy, and building excellent relationships within the team and client departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver expert legal support and advice to client services on complex child protection matters
  • Conduct advocacy in the Family Courts
  • Build excellent relationships within the team and client departments
  • Work independently and as part of a team
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary, 26 days annual leave rising to 31 days after five years' service, and a local government pension scheme. While we would consider this role being fully remote, all interviews will be in person.
