Practice Development Nurse

Job Overview
Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Practice Development Nurse to join our well-established team on the Neonatal Unit at Evelina London Children's Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and coordinating education initiatives within the speciality, leading and taking continuing responsibility for the in-service development of all nursing staff working within their area of specialty.
Main Duties
- Develop and coordinate education initiatives within the speciality.
- Lead and take continuing responsibility for the in-service development of all nursing staff working within their area of specialty.
- Provide leadership and motivation to establish clinical practices, which is research/evidence-based and lead to standard setting and regular audit in line with the Trust's commitment to Clinical Governance.
- Monitor and review clinical and professional standards of care, reporting on performance, and instituting remedial action where necessary.
Requirements
- RN1/RN2/RN12 or RN Child Registered Nurse on the NMC register.
- Practice teacher qualification.
- Specialist professional knowledge of mentorship, education and development practice to Masters level or equivalent.
- Evidence of continuous personal, professional and academic development.

The PDN team have close collaborative working opportunities with the PDN's from the Evelina London Children's Hospital and Practice Development Midwives from maternity services.
