We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior HR Manager to join our team at Sarah McKenna HR Recruitment. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for leading HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
- Support employee engagement initiatives to foster a motivated and thriving workforce.
- Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries, offering proactive advice and guidance.
- Manage training and development programs, ensuring staff qualifications are up-to-date.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to deliver strategic HR projects aligned with the People Strategy.
- Mentor and support the HR Assistant in their development and daily responsibilities.
- Provide guidance on employee relations, supporting formal meetings and processes.
- Maintain and update HR policies, ensuring compliance with best practices and regulations.
About You:
You have strong experience in a generalist senior HR role, ideally within an SME or multi-site environment. You're confident managing employee relations, recruitment, and HR systems. Level 5 CIPD qualification as a minimum. Proven experience and success supporting managers through all aspects of HR. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
What We Offer:
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Gateshead, offering the opportunity to shape the future of HR within a business that truly lives by its values. You will receive a competitive salary of £40,000 - £42,000 + car allowance, 25 days holiday plus bank holiday plus birthday, private medical, and company pension.
