Nurse Specialist Older Person Mental Health

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 5 Older Person Mental Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients aged 65 and above who are experiencing mental health problems.
About the RoleAs a member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will work closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate care that meets individual needs. Your expertise will be essential in developing and implementing care plans that promote patient well-being and independence.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and plan care for patients with complex mental health needs
- Deliver high-quality care that is tailored to individual patient needs
- Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to achieve patient-centered outcomes
- Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans that promote patient well-being and independence
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a Registered Mental Health Nurse with current NMC registration. You will also require a Diploma or Degree in Nursing and experience of working with older adults with mental health needs. Strong analytical and judgemental skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously, are essential.
