Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance and supervision to staff within the team, ensuring high standards of practice and professionalism.
  • Ensure that safeguarding adults at risk is a fundamental aspect of this role, and that principles are embedded in all procedures, practices, professional advice, decisions, and support.
  • Work closely with the team manager to create a supportive team environment, enabling staff to work with individuals to promote independence, choice, and control, with wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.
  • Conduct complex assessments and safeguarding enquiries to establish clear, relevant, proportionate, and appropriate options for individuals to meet their identified outcomes.
  • Collaborate with adults, their families, carers, and advocates, colleagues, and external organizations to provide professional social work support for vulnerable older people, adults with physical and sensory impairment, or learning disability, and carers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in adult social care as a social worker in the UK.
  • Experience of supervising or mentoring social worker staff.
  • Experience of complex case work.
