As a Senior Investigative Analyst at Red Snapper Recruitment Limited, you will play a key role in assisting police forces with their investigations. Your responsibilities will include conducting suspect interviews, gathering and preserving evidence, and supporting officers with development.

About the Position

The role will be based within Public Protection Units (PPU) and will be with a UK Police Force, requiring national security checks. You will work on full-time contracts across the West Midlands, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility around hybrid working possible.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in suspect interviews, following the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (PACE) and procedures.
  • Identify, preserve, and present evidence as required by Law and Force Procedures, filling any evidential gaps.
  • Gather, develop, and use intelligence effectively. Conduct intelligence interviews, submitting information correctly.
  • Support officers with development, using relevant skills and accreditation.
  • Prepare high-quality evidential files for submission to the Crown Prosecution Service.
  • Understand the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act (CPIA), ensuring adherence to rules.
  • Support victim interviews, identifying vulnerable persons and taking appropriate measures.
  • Assist student and other constables on attachment with investigations, case file preparation, and disclosure issues.
Essential Qualifications:
  • A background in Policing and understanding of PPU.
  • Accreditation to PIP2 level or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of Policing systems and relevant legislation.
  • Experience gathering statements from victims and witnesses.
  • Experience obtaining and handling evidence, such as CCTV footage.
  • Experience preparing files for court.
