Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Neurophysiology Specialist to join our team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical neurophysiology investigations for adults and paediatric patients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct EMG and complex Nerve Conduction Study testing on both adults and paediatrics.
  • Undertake reporting of varying modalities of EEG (Routine, Ambulatory and Telemetry).
  • Contribute to the day-to-day running and management of the department.
  • Clinical supervision of clinical physiologists, including trainees.
  • Enhance the research profile of the department.
  • Contribute to effective clinical governance.
  • Participate in strategy and business planning.

About the Role

The post-holder will work as part of a team of four consultants, two locum Consultants and seven clinical physiologists, with a dedicated administration team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with leading clinicians pushing boundaries in patient care.

Requirements

  • On GMC's Specialist Register or within six months of being admitted to the register by the date of the interviews.
  • Appropriate Royal College Membership.
  • Specialist training in Clinical Neurophysiology.
  • CCST achieved or within 6 months of interview date.
  • Experience of EMG, NCS, EEG, Ambulatory EEG, Home VTEL, EP - Paediatric and adult patients.
  • Able to take responsibility, show leadership, make decisions, exert appropriate authority.
  • Have proven skills in leading, motivating, developing and managing the performance of colleagues.
