As a Senior Geoscience Consultant, you'll play a direct role in growing the renewables sector while building a career in an exciting, global industry.
Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be employed through Ordtek and will work on-site in our Hethel, Norwich office. The Senior Geoscience Consultant role will be part of the UXO site operations team, reporting to the Operations Director. This role involves acting as a primary liaison for clients throughout project lifecycles, providing continuous operational support and ensuring the production of high-quality deliverables.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing ongoing operational support.
- Producing and presenting geological and technical reports, including project-specific certifications and specifications.
- Offering technical advice and guidance to the geophysical team, ensuring quality and consistency in deliverables.
- Assisting with technical guidance during the bidding phase.
- Monitoring survey data acquisition and managing quality assurance.
- Attending client meetings online and in person within the UK and occasionally internationally, maintaining and nurturing relationships through frequent communication.
- Identifying new opportunities, supporting business development, and pitching services to potential customers.
- Providing clear leadership and task coordination, including mentoring or developing junior team members.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have at least five to seven years of experience of offshore geophysical campaigns, project management experience, a strong understanding of the offshore energy industry, and proven leadership abilities. A degree in Geophysics, Geoscience, or another relevant field is required, with a Master's degree in a related field being desirable. Full driving license and willingness to travel as required are also essential.
