Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior/Principal/Associate Geotechnical Engineer/Engineering Geologist to join our team in Birmingham, Cardiff, or Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in the ground engineering input to some of our most challenging projects.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for mentoring junior staff and contributing to the development of our infrastructure geotechnics capability. You will have a strong academic background, a relevant degree, and chartered status. Your experience in one or more of the following sectors: highways, rail, or water geotechnics, will be essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting in a senior role in a fast-moving engineering consultancy environment
  • Project management, including relationships with clients, work planning, and commercial management
  • Geotechnical design experience, including the application of CDM Regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal and technical skills, with the ability to develop and lead design teams
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with clients
  • Good commercial track record, with the ability to negotiate and run successful jobs
  • Excellent report writing skills, with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work
