About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Offshore Geotechnical Engineer to join our Ground Engineering Department at Ramboll. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of geotechnical aspects of offshore projects, working closely with our multidisciplinary project teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the geotechnical design of offshore support structures, including numerical modeling and site investigation
  • Plan and interpret offshore geotechnical site surveys, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis
  • Document project results and attend project meetings with clients, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
  • Coordinate project developments in the bid and execution phases, ensuring timely and efficient delivery
  • Manage the geotechnical discipline within projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Potentially lead people management responsibilities, mentoring and developing junior team members
  • Contribute to technical development, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
  • Closely cooperate with other locations across Europe, Americas, and APAC, fostering a collaborative and global work environment
Requirements
  • Knowledge of interpretation of site investigation and laboratory testing for offshore projects
  • Knowledge of offshore foundation design and installation for the Oil & Gas or Renewable Energy industries
  • MEng in Civil Engineering or MSc in Geotechnical Engineering or similar
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Versed in the MS Office Suite of programs
  • Experience in Finite Element modeling of geotechnical design problems
  • Ability to develop and execute well-structured code in Python, Matlab, or other languages
  • Background in researching and developing novel solutions for design
