Senior Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing geotechnical packages throughout the project lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies and cost evaluations to the finalisation and verification of formal design packages for retaining solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Geology or Civil Engineering and an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology. They should have more than five years of relevant experience in civil engineering or geotechnical engineering and possess proficiency in computer software such as Geo5 and AutoCAD.

The successful candidate will have practical knowledge of geotechnical properties, ground investigation, and geotechnical report writing. They will be responsible for assessing the commercial impact of chosen designs and providing geotechnical advice to both the team and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design geotechnical packages throughout the project lifecycle
  • Assess the commercial impact of chosen designs
  • Provide geotechnical advice to both the team and clients
  • Liaise with clients to investigate solutions and coordinate geotechnical testing requirements on site
  • Visit sites to confirm ground models and ensure quality assurance
  • Provide in-house training to the team

Requirements:

  • Degree in Geology or Civil Engineering
  • MSc in Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology
  • More than five years of relevant experience in civil engineering or geotechnical engineering
  • Proficiency in computer software such as Geo5 and AutoCAD
  • Practical knowledge of geotechnical properties, ground investigation, and geotechnical report writing
