**Job Overview**

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Development Phase Lead to join our team at Colchester United Community Foundation. As a key appointment, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Boys Development Centre programme.

About the Programme

The Boys Development Centre programme (U6-U16) supports the Colchester United Academy in providing talent pathway opportunities for local players. We provide high-quality participation, health & inclusion, and education programmes to thousands of children, young people, and adults each week.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop effective relationships and partnerships with colleagues, players, parents/guardians on and off the pitch.
  • Deliver high-quality provisions and experiences on all participation and community programmes.
  • Support player development and increased engagement within the Boys Development Centre programme.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, players, and parents/guardians to maximise impact and help players reach their potential.

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in football development, preferably with a UFEA B Coaching Award or higher. You should also hold relevant qualifications such as the FA Introduction to First Aid in Football, FA Safeguarding Children, and Enhanced DBS check. Previous experience working with Football Development/Community Development/Academy Coaching environments would be highly beneficial.
