We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer - Production to join our team at Faerch. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective running of our production facility by prioritizing maintenance of plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Diagnose and rectify faults in production plant and machinery
    • Modify production plant and machinery as necessary
  • Shift Operations
    • Respond quickly and effectively to plant and machinery breakdowns
    • Read and interpret layout, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings
  • PPM Programme
    • Develop and adhere to the site PPM programme
    • Implement and recommend improvements to the PPM programme
  • Equipment Introduction
    • Support the successful introduction of new manufacturing equipment and services
  • Reporting and Administration
    • Complete shift reports and actions
Requirements
  • Qualifications
    • Time served and/or completed a recognized mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, ONC/HNC)
  • Experience
    • Preferable experience in manufacturing, with training provided
  • Skills
    • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
    • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
    • Ability to use initiative and organize own workload
    • Ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills
