Vocational Training Professional

We are seeking an experienced Barbering Trainer to join our team at HMP Millsike.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a prison environment and make a positive difference to people's lives.
- Deliver VTCT Barbering Training: Embed employability, literacy, and digital skills within the training to prepare learners for real-world barbering roles.
- Supportive Environment: Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that caters to the needs of neurodiverse learners and others.
- Collaboration and Partnership: Collaborate with local employers to facilitate Release on Temporary License (ROTL) and through-the-gate opportunities for employment.
What You Need:
- Level 3 Barbering certification, plus strong communication and organisational skills.
- Experience in teaching, coaching, or vocational training.
- Knowledge of restorative practices, health and safety compliance, and adaptive training.
Working Hours and Salary: This is a full-time role with a salary of approximately £32,000-£34,700 per year, working four days per week: 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and one half-day per week: either 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM or 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
