About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Household Support Fund Officer to join our team in Balsall Heath. This is a fixed-term contract until October 2024.

The successful candidate will support the coordination and completion of Household Support Fund applications, both over the phone and at face-to-face sessions held in the community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the co-ordination and completion of Household Support Fund applications
  • Working with community partners to identify opportunities for outreach and setting up community advice and support sessions
  • Supporting HSF Neighbourhood Hubs to process expressions of interest and grant applications
  • Working with Trusted Partners to deliver the Household Support Fund grant service
  • Undertaking Grant Fund communications and marketing, including helpline management
  • Linking grant applicants with wider support through signposting and Family Connect Forms

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service experience and be able to easily and flexibly travel between our four community hubs and numerous trusted partners across the locality.

This role will also require occasional weekend and evening work in the community.
