Job Opportunity: We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic to join our team as a Lecturer or Associate Professor in Soft Matter Physics.
About the Role: As a key member of our Soft Matter Physics Group, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality research and teaching in the area of liquid crystals. You will have a proven track record of academic leadership, research excellence, and teaching expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research in Soft Matter Physics, with a focus on liquid crystals, and publish high-quality papers in peer-reviewed journals.
- Develop and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Physics, with a focus on Soft Matter Physics.
- Provide academic leadership and contribute to the development of the Soft Matter Physics Group.
- Engage with external collaborators, including standards committees and industrial partners, to advance research and teaching in the field.
- Present research findings at international conferences and contribute to the development of the field through key presentations.
Requirements:
- PhD in a relevant discipline, with a strong track record of research in Soft Matter Physics.
- Excellent publication record in peer-reviewed journals, with a strong track record of research grant applications.
- Experience of interdisciplinary collaboration with theoreticians, chemists, and experimentalists.
- Proven ability to lead and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Physics.
- Strong research expertise in areas complementary to those in the liquid crystals part of the Soft Matter Physics group.
