Production Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Production Support Specialist to join our team at First Hydro Company. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting craft workers, maintaining housekeeping, and performing routine manual tasks.
The ideal candidate will have practical knowledge of industrial safety and basic rigging, lifting, and scaffolding operations knowledge. They will be responsible for assisting electrical/mechanical craft workers, technicians, craft operators, riggers, and scaffolders.
Estimated salary for this position is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities- Support craft workers in various activities, including maintenance, repairs, and operations.
- Maintain housekeeping in all areas of power station buildings, plant, and equipment.
- Perform routine manual tasks associated with craft activities, minor repairs, and basic use of workshop power equipment.
- Manage hazardous waste skips, waste solvent storage, lakes and water courses, and legionella monitoring.
- Take readings/records of plant operations.
This is a full-time position, working approximately 39 hours per week, with occasional additional hours, weekends, or nights to coordinate work with other departments and minimise downtime.
Requirements- Practical knowledge of industrial safety.
