Job Description

As a Production Support Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in assisting electrical/mechanical craft workers, maintaining housekeeping, performing routine manual tasks, and helping with environmental responsibilities. You'll use computerised systems to record defects and operate equipment like forklift trucks and MEWPS.

You'll typically work around 39 hours a week, with occasional additional hours or nights to coordinate work with other departments and minimize downtime. Your role may also involve working on other FHC sites.

  • Support electrical/mechanical craft workers, technicians, operators, riggers, and scaffolders.
  • Maintain housekeeping in all areas of power station buildings, plant, and equipment.
  • Perform routine manual tasks associated with craft activities, minor repairs, and basic workshop equipment usage.
  • Manage hazardous waste skips, waste solvent storage, lakes, and water courses.
  • Take readings and records.
  • Carry out main and auxiliary plant inspections.
  • Operate forklift trucks, MEWPS, cranes, hoists, and winches.

Salary Estimate: £22,000 - £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
