HollandGreen is a renowned residential Design Practice with a team of 50 talented individuals and associated entities including Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape Design, and Project Management. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Financial Leader to join us and contribute to our continued success and growth.

About the Role

The Strategic Financial Leader will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring the financial health of the company, and providing strategic insights to drive business growth. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in finance, as well as the ability to manage operations and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the Practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and oversee the implementation of financial strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Financial Operations: Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, rate setting, financial reporting, payroll and tax compliance.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities.
  • Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow management and ensure adequate liquidity for operations.

Strategic Planning:

  • Collaboration with Senior Management: Collaborate with the Partners and senior management team to develop long-term strategic plans.
  • Financial Insights and Recommendations: Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and profitability, and guide business decisions.
  • Evaluation of Investments: Evaluate potential investments, funding and new business opportunities.
  • Financial Modelling: Develop and implement financial models to support strategic initiatives.

Operational Management:

  • Divisional Leadership: Work closely with divisional leads (Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape Design, and Project Management) to optimise financial performance across all divisions.
  • Cost Management: Implement effective cost management and resource allocation strategies.
  • Team Engagement: Promote team engagement, collaboration and consistency across core systems.
  • Project Management: Oversee the financial aspects of project management, ensuring projects are delivered on budget and within scope.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Internal Controls: Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Risk Management: Input into risk management activities, including insurance coverage.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Liaise with external Accountants/Auditors to ensure compliance with Financial regulations.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Culture and Inclusivity: Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Professional Certification: Professional Accounting Qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the architecture or design industry would be beneficial.
