About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mortgage Underwriter to join our team at Ultimate Banking. As a Mortgage Underwriter, you will play a critical role in assessing and underwriting mortgage applications to ensure compliance with our credit risk policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and underwrite mortgage applications to ensure compliance with our credit risk policy
  • Review and analyze loan applications to identify potential risks and opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless loan processing and underwriting
  • Develop and maintain expertise in mortgage products and underwriting guidelines
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory requirements

Requirements
  • Current or recent Underwriting Mandate
  • Good knowledge of Buy to Let lending (to include Limited Company, HMO and Multi lets)
  • A good understanding of the mortgage process
  • Knowledge of working under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Record/file management experience
  • Experience of working in a team
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent communication skills
