About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Support Specialist to join our team at Academics. As a SEN Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in a specialist setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with varying needs, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behavioural strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver a well-rounded educational experience.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A minimum of two years of experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a specialist setting, or equivalent experience in care or as a support worker.
  • Experience working with autistic learners (verbal and non-verbal) is preferred but not essential.
  • A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine desire to support and inspire students.
