Role Overview
We at Academics are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with varying needs in a specialist setting. As a key member of our team, you will provide tailored support to students aged 3-19, helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver a well-rounded educational experience.
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behavioural strategies to support students' needs.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students.
- Support students with varying needs in and out of the classroom.
Ideal Candidate
- A minimum of two years of experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a specialist setting or equivalent experience in care or as a support worker.
- Experience working with autistic learners is preferred but not essential.
- A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine desire to support and inspire students.
