School Attendance Officer

We are currently recruiting a School Attendance Officer to work on a temporary basis in Primary, Secondary, and SEN Schools across Derbyshire. The role involves monitoring whole school attendance, persistent absence, and punctuality, as well as identifying students who require support with their attendance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and track student attendance and identify areas for improvement
* Liaise with Senior Leadership Team, Heads of House, and Tutors to address attendance issues
* Meet with students and parents to discuss attendance concerns and develop strategies for improvement
* Collaborate with Education Welfare Officer to ensure students meet attendance targets
Requirements:
* Previous experience as an Attendance Officer in schools or similar administration role
* Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to pay for a new one
