We are currently recruiting School Attendance Officers to work on a temporary basis in Primary, Secondary and SEN Schools across Derbyshire. The roles we have are a mixture of full time and part time and are due to start as soon as possible. As a School Attendance Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring whole school attendance, persistent absence and punctuality. You will also identify students who require support with their attendance and liaise with Senior Leadership Team, Heads of House and Tutors, SENCo, inclusion team and other relevant staff regarding students who are of concern. You will raise attendance issues with parents and meet with both students and parents in order to support them to improve attendance. You will also meet with Education Welfare Officer on a weekly basis and refer students who are not meeting attendance targets. You will be supported by Georgina Longhorne, Aspire People's Office & Technical consultant for the Staffordshire, Black Country and Derbyshire areas. You will be offered excellent rates of pay and will be on hand to offer support throughout assignments. We are keen to speak to experienced School Attendance Officers who are interested in working in a forward-thinking school. Please note that applicants must have a DBS on the update service, or be willing to pay £47.20 for a new one to be processed.
