Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator / DBA to join our team at Client Server.

About the Role

As a Senior Database Administrator / DBA, you will be responsible for maintaining on-premise Oracle and SQL databases, including upgrades, high availability backup administration, monitoring, and optimisations of servers as well as SQL code and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with software engineers and business stakeholders to improve the use of schemas, performant stored procedures, views, functions, etc.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on business critical systems.
  • Work with a small team to maintain and improve database systems.
  • Investigate and resolve database performance issues.
  • Develop and implement database security and compliance measures.

Requirements

  • Expertise with Database Administration, preferably with Oracle or SQL.
  • Experience of interrogating data stores and schema, investigating the results, and providing solutions to improve performance.
  • Familiarity with Azure SQL Server, Data Lakes, and other data-related cloud technologies.
  • Degree educated in a STEM discipline.
