Geography Teaching Role

Main Responsibilities
  1. Lesson Delivery: Develop engaging and effective Geography lessons catering to diverse learners.
  2. Curriculum Alignment: Create lesson plans aligning with the national curriculum, promoting academic excellence and student success.
  3. Assessment and Feedback: Assess student learning and provide individualized feedback fostering growth and improvement.
  4. Classroom Management: Effectively manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment encouraging active participation and respect.
  5. Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular activities promoting interdisciplinary learning and skills development.
  6. Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies and resources, ensuring innovative and effective practice.
  7. Student Support: Provide support and guidance to students as needed, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
Key Requirements
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
  2. Relevant Degree: Possess a relevant degree in Geography or a related field.
  3. National Curriculum Knowledge: Have excellent knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum.
  4. Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
  5. Inspiring Teaching: Show the ability to inspire and motivate students, fostering a love of learning and academic excellence.
  6. Classroom Management: Exhibit effective classroom management skills, creating a productive and respectful learning environment.
  7. Commitment to Development: Commit to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and research in education.
Compensation Package

The estimated salary for this position is £48,000 per annum, reflecting the level of expertise required for this role.
