Fibro Scan Technician

King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Fibro Scan Technician to join their Paediatric Liver Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing fibro scans on children and young people with liver disease, ensuring accurate data collection and audit information.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform fibro scans on children and young people with liver disease
- Arrange maintenance of the fibro scan machine and calibration of probes
- Collect and audit data for the fibro scan service
- Functional Skills Level 2 in Numeracy and Literacy or GCSEs Maths and English Grades A-C
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Basic IT qualification or equivalent experience
- Understanding of basic liver pathology
- European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in a busy healthcare setting and working with children, young people, and their families/carers. Training will be provided, but a strong understanding of liver disease and fibro scanning is essential.
