Job Title: Fibro Scan Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fibro Scan Technician to join our Paediatric Liver Team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy and dynamic environment, providing a high-quality fibro scanning service to children and young people with liver disease.

As a Fibro Scan Technician, you will be responsible for safely performing fibro scans liver/spleen on children and young people, arranging maintenance of the fibro scan machine and calibration of the probes, and collecting and auditing data for the fibro scan service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. To perform fibro scans liver/spleen on children and young people in a safe and efficient manner.
  2. To arrange maintenance and calibration of the fibro scan machine and probes.
  3. To collect and audit data for the fibro scan service.
Requirements
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in Numeracy and Literacy or GCSEs Maths and English Grades A-C.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Basic IT qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of basic liver pathology.
  • European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL).
