Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor Projects

Location: London Gatwick Airport

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Circa £70,000 + £4,500 Flex Allowance + up to 20% Bonus + Benefits

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Construction team at London Gatwick Airport. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of cost plans and cost estimates for larger projects (typically greater than £100 million).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain cost plans and cost estimates for larger projects
  • Work on complex projects from inception through to completion
  • Prepare detailed budgets and cost estimates at various project stages
  • Control project costs and prevent overruns by tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities
  • Conduct accurate measurement, rate analysis, and risk assessments
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure projects are completed within budget and provide optimal value
  • Administer contracts for design and construction contracts as they are awarded, including change management

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a cost engineering, contract management, or commercial role within the construction or infrastructure sectors working on projects typically over £5 million
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering, construction, or business-related field
  • Full working knowledge and understanding of using web-based contract management tools, including the NEC suite of contracts and associated contract administration and negotiations
