Occupational Therapist

Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and prioritizing the needs of applicants requesting social rented housing on health and disability grounds. They will also assist with the promotion, delivery, and integration of the Council's key objectives, specifically in relation to the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, and Best Practice.
Key Responsibilities
As a health and disability occupational therapist, the role will involve regulated work with children and/or protected adults. The candidate will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of regulated work with either or both of these groups as appropriate. They will work closely with the Council to promote and deliver key objectives, including the Community Plan.
Working Arrangements
The position is full-time and permanent, with an administrative base at John Dickie Street, Kilmarnock. The working pattern is as follows:
- Monday to Thursday: 9.00 am - 5.00 pm
- Friday: 9.00 am - 4.00 pm
The salary for this post is £39,000 - £42,000, plus a 5% market forces premium.
Workstyle
The workstyle for this post is flexible, with 50-79% of time spent in the office. The candidate will be able to work at different or multiple work locations, occasionally working from home or another location 1-2 days per week, or directly from home to external appointments.
