About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Highway Maintenance Project Leader to join our team at National Highways in the Southwest region. This exciting opportunity will see you leading the delivery of highway maintenance, working closely with our Service Delivery Managers to ensure successful delivery of maintenance work adhering to time, cost & quality expectations.

About the Role
  • You will be part of a team responsible for managing the performance of the Southwest Maintenance and Response (M&R) Contract, ensuring high-quality cyclical maintenance and repair plans are developed and executed efficiently.
  • Performance reporting and monitoring of supplier delivery will be a key aspect of this role, along with instructing and varying works, tracking associated costs, and supporting the control and approval of M&R routine maintenance and minor capital related spend.
  • You will also be responsible for proactively tracking and monitoring service delivery performance, working closely with multiple teams across the region, including Highway Inspectors, Traffic Officers, and the Planning and Development teams.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced, 24/7 service delivery environment is essential, along with a background of working in the highways sector with relevant technical, maintenance, and design experience.
  • Strong planning and project delivery skills, excellent stakeholder management, and communication skills are required, as well as a recognised academic qualification in an Engineering discipline.
Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum
