About The Role:

As a Highways Maintenance Technician at Milestone, you will be part of a team responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of highways, ensuring that these critical infrastructure assets remain safe and functional. Your work will involve a range of tasks, including repairs, kerbing, slab trips, and general highway maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work as part of a team undertaking Highways repairs, Kerbing, Slab trips, small drainage schemes and general highway maintenance.
  • Use technology (tablets/apps) to input safety data and maintenance records.
  • Drive/operate plant and equipment where trained, necessary for the day-to-day tasks set.
  • Take responsibility for vehicles/plant/materials in your charge.
  • Where appropriate provide direction/supervision of the work to less experienced operatives.
  • Undertake winter and emergency maintenance out of hours activities on a standby rota.
Requirements:
  • Clean driving License
  • A commitment to Health and Safety
  • Good communication skills and basic literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to undertake a high level of manual work and work outdoors in all weathers.
