About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Medicine Fellow to join our team at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in pleural disease and contribute to the growth of our respiratory department.

The salary for this position is estimated at £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience. As a fellow, you will have the chance to work closely with consultants and other healthcare professionals, developing your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • To work with the lung cancer team, attending clinics and preparing for multidisciplinary meetings
  • To develop and maintain a logbook of pleural procedures, targeting RCR Level 2 certification
  • To teach and assist in procedures for junior doctors and medical students
  • To participate in research projects and develop a research portfolio
  • To contribute to teaching Plymouth University Medical students

Requirements:

  • Degree in Medicine or equivalent qualification
  • Specialty trainee in Respiratory Medicine or equivalent
  • RCR Level 1 Thoracic Ultrasound certification
  • Competent in standard flexible bronchoscopy
