Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop a career in pharmacy and gain the necessary qualifications to register and work as a pharmacy technician.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be required to work in various areas of pharmacy, including dispensaries, wards, and production. They will gain the skills to accurately assemble medicines for prescriptions, provide medicines management for patients on a ward, and contribute to a safe and effective pharmacy service.

During the two-year training period, the trainee will rotate through different areas of pharmacy, including general practice and mental health services. They will work under the supervision of a pharmacist or technician and will be required to complete a GPhC-accredited course within the apprenticeship pathway.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • English GCSE grade 4 (C) or above
  • Maths GCSE grade 4 (C) or above
  • Science GCSE grade 4 (C) or above
  • One other GCSE grade 4 (C) or above
