Senior Clinical Lead for Older People Services

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced clinical leader to join their team as a Senior Clinical Lead for Older People Services. This exciting opportunity will allow the successful candidate to leverage their expertise in caring for older adults and rehabilitation to drive quality improvements and patient-centered care within the In-patient Intermediate Care team.
About the RoleThis leadership position will be based at Albion Mill, with responsibilities extending across the Intermediate Care Division. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care, effective management of nursing staff, and strategic planning to meet the needs of patients and families.
- The successful candidate will provide assurance to the Assistant Director of Nursing that the clinical areas under their responsibility are operating within regulatory frameworks and escalating any concerns related to quality and safety.
- They will contribute to the development of clinical and operational improvements, working closely with patients, nurses, medical professionals, and therapy colleagues to innovate care delivery, focusing on independence where possible.
- To be responsible and accountable for the overall clinical and operational day-to-day delivery of clinical standards of care and the management of the nursing workforce, ensuring delivery of a high-quality, patient-centered service that meets patient need.
- Ensuring that subsequent changes to structures, services, and roles are underpinned by appropriate support and ongoing professional development.
- Supporting the assistant director of nursing in providing professional leadership and management for the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Strategy for Nursing & Midwifery.
- The core nursing team is responsible for ensuring that effective systems of work are in place to ensure the safe delivery of evidence-based patient care.
The salary for this role is estimated to be around £62,000 - £83,000 per annum, depending on experience.
