Clinical Lead for Universal Health Service

To work as part of the 0-19 Universal Health Service and provide strong clinical leadership and supervision to an integrated team.
The role involves leading on the delivery of the Health Child Programme 0-5, providing family centred, evidence based public health service that aims to proactively improve health outcomes for a defined population or community.
This will be achieved through delivery of the model of health visiting at a community, universal, targeted and specialist level. Safeguarding is embedded within the model considering safe and effective management of risk for children, young people and families.
Main Responsibilities:- Work as part of the 0-19 Universal Health Service
- Provide strong clinical leadership and supervision to an integrated team
- Lead on the delivery of the Health Child Programme 0-5
East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust has worked in partnership with Blackburn with Darwen Local Authority and other voluntary sector providers to deliver the new, integrated, Healthy Child Programme.
The area served by East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust requires flexibility to meet the needs of the service.
Person Specification:Qualifications:- Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN-Health Visitor)
- Proven evidence of continued professional development
- Multi-agency and partnership working
- Delivering health promotion or public health programmes
- Good understanding of the healthy child programme 0-5
- Demonstrable leadership skills
- Ability to organise and prioritise own workload to meet deadlines
