East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is recruiting for a Lead Nurse for Elderly Patient Rehabilitation to join their In-patient Intermediate Care team. This exciting opportunity allows the successful candidate to utilize their knowledge and skills in caring for older adults and rehabilitation to drive improvements in patient-centered care.

About the Role

The lead nurse will be responsible for managing a team of nurses and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care and outcomes. This includes developing and implementing strategies to improve patient flow, reduce length of stay, and enhance the overall patient experience.

  • The lead nurse will work closely with the senior leadership team to develop and implement policies and procedures that align with the trust's vision and goals.
  • They will provide guidance and support to junior staff members, promoting best practices and contributing to the professional development of nursing staff.
  • The lead nurse will also play a key role in leading quality improvement initiatives, working collaboratively with other departments to drive positive change and excellence in care delivery.
Responsibilities
  1. Providing assurance to the Assistant Director of Nursing that the clinical areas under their responsibility are operating within regulatory frameworks and escalating any concerns related to quality and safety.
  2. Contributing to the development of clinical and operational improvements, working closely with patients, nurses, medical professionals, and therapy colleagues to innovate care delivery, focusing on independence where possible.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
