Your Key Responsibilities

You will design and develop operational data services, supporting scientists and engineers to develop high-quality code and implementations of their research.

  • Exploit cloud computing technologies to efficiently produce radar products.
  • Collaborate with a motivated team to deliver projects that solve real-world challenges.
What We Offer

A competitive salary package including:

  • A base salary of £46,974 annually.
  • An excellent Civil Service pension scheme, with an average employer contribution of 27%.
  • A Recruitment Retention Allowance (RRA) of £2,200 per annum.
  • Generous annual leave entitlements, starting at 27.5 days (plus Bank Holidays), rising to 32.5 days (plus Bank Holidays) after 5 years.
Essential Criteria

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Experience and knowledge in a mathematical, physical or computational science or related discipline.
  • Proactive scientific and technical insight into solving scientific software engineering tasks or problems.
  • Experience in designing, writing and understanding Python code, in a cloud-based, Linux environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • A commitment to ongoing learning and development.
