Job Description
We are recruiting an experienced Heavy Goods Mechanic Specialist to join our team at the Royal Mail Group in Derby. The successful candidate will work on a range of commercial vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment, using their own personal toolkit to perform routine maintenance and repair procedures.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and experience in a fast-paced workshop environment. You will work closely with our team of expert mechanics to ensure that all vehicles are maintained to the highest standards. We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 per annum, plus additional weekend supplement of £50 per shift on Saturdays. You may also be eligible for a welcome bonus of £1,500*. Our benefits package includes 22.5 days annual holiday (plus bank holidays), rising with service, and an excellent company matched pension scheme.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance and repair procedures on commercial vehicles
• Use personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair light / heavy goods vehicles
• Work on a flexible shift rota to meet service demands

Requirements:
• IMI Level 3 qualification in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician working on a wide range of vehicles
• Valid UK driving licence: Full manual UK driving licence required
