Accounts Receivable Manager

A key member of the Jackson Hogg Accounts Receivable team, the postholder will be responsible for the collection of rental income for 1,500 units using internal systems and monitoring levels of rental income.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly reporting and management of levels of arrears, ensuring timely and accurate financial data is provided to stakeholders.
- Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers to progress rent payments and resolve any disputes or issues.
- Ensuring internal systems and processes are regularly updated and optimized to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Instructing and following-up on legal proceedings to recover outstanding debts, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Monthly review of Bad Debt Write offs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to minimize losses.
- Performing other duties as required by the Manager to ensure the efficient running of the Department.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent customer service and awareness, with previous experience in dealing with the public.
- At least 1 year's previous credit control/accounts receivable experience, with a basic understanding of the legal system relevant to credit control.
- Previous experience working in finance would be advantageous, as would knowledge of direct debit systems.
