We are seeking a skilled Recovery Theatre Practitioner/ODP to join our team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standard of care for post-operative patients and facilitating safe transfers to critical care units or other areas.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care, prioritizing their safety and well-being.
- Collaborate with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective treatment and care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, using clear and concise language.
- Utilize IT systems to maintain accurate records and support patient care.
- Work independently, using initiative and prioritizing tasks in challenging situations.
- Contribute to the education and development of junior staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning.
- Qualified Nurse/ODP Adult or Dual registered Adult/Child.
- Relevant experience in recovery or critical care units is desirable but not essential.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including short shifts, early, late, twilight, night, weekend, and bank holiday shifts.
