Job Summary: Systems Architect and PM

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum

Location: Oxford, England

We are seeking a highly experienced Systems Architect and Project Manager to lead complex projects in the space industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing system architectures, ensuring timely delivery, budget control, and quality assurance.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in systems engineering, architecture, and project management. You will work closely with our cross-functional team to deliver cutting-edge solutions for high-profile clients in the space sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement system architectures, ensuring they meet project requirements, are feasible, and align with company goals.
  • Lead the development and implementation of project plans, ensuring timely delivery, budget control, and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to define project requirements, develop technical specifications, and ensure compliance with relevant standards (ESA ECSS).
  • Maintain effective communication and interpersonal skills, working with clients, colleagues, and external partners to achieve project objectives.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or higher in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Systems Architect or Project Manager in the space industry.
  • Strong knowledge of ESA ECSS standards for Space Mechanical Systems, Mechanisms, Systems, and Project Management.
  • Familiarity with MS Project, CAD software (e.g., Solidworks), and related computing software (e.g., Matlab, Simulink).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
